Per line per month. Taxes and fees are not included — sales tax, the state 911 charge and any federal fees passed through at cost are added at checkout and on each monthly bill (shown before you pay). After your high-speed allowance you keep going at reduced speed until the next cycle. Discounts apply to the plan price before taxes and fees. Coverage and speeds vary by location and device.
How much data do you need?
Less than most plans sell you. On Wi-Fi at home and at work, 1GB to 2GB a month covers maps, messages, email and some browsing on the go. Daily social media and music away from Wi-Fi usually lands between 5GB and 10GB; video on cellular most days needs 20GB or unlimited.
| How you use your phone off Wi-Fi | Typical use a month | Plan that fits |
|---|---|---|
| Calls and texts, maps now and then, email | Under 1GB | Mac Basic · $15.00/mo |
| Add some browsing, social and music on the go | 1–2GB | Mac Starter · $19.99/mo |
| Social and music every day, some video | 5–10GB | Mac Essential · $39.99/mo |
| Video and video calls on cellular most days | 10–20GB | Mac Plus · $49.99/mo |
| No home Wi-Fi, or streaming wherever you are | 20GB and up | Mac Premium · $69.99/mo, unlimited |

Questions people ask before they pick
What is the cheapest Mac Wireless plan?
Mac Basic, at $15.00 a month for one line. It includes unlimited talk and text and 1GB of high-speed data, then reduced speed until the next cycle — never an overage bill. It is a flat price, so the multi-line and autopay discounts do not apply to it. Taxes and fees are added at checkout.
Is there a contract or a credit check?
No. Every plan is paid a month at a time, in advance, with no annual contract and no credit check to start service. You can change plans from My Account whenever you like. Activation is a one-time $29.99 per line, shown at checkout before you pay.
What happens when I use all my high-speed data?
Your service keeps working at reduced speed until the next monthly cycle starts, and there is never an overage charge. If it happens often, move up a plan in My Account — moving up takes effect right away, and moving down takes effect at the next bill.
Are taxes and fees included in the price?
No. Plan prices are before taxes and fees. Sales tax, the state 911 charge and any federal fee are added on top. They are estimated from your ZIP code at checkout, before you pay, and itemized on every bill — so the number you see is the number you pay.
Can I keep my phone number?
Yes. Number transfers are free and usually finish the same day. You need the name on your current account, the account number and a Number Transfer PIN from your current provider. Choose Keep my number at checkout, and leave the old service on until we email you that the move is done. How switching works.
Will my phone work on Mac Wireless?
Any unlocked iPhone or Android that supports our networks works. Dial *#06# to see the IMEI, enter it in the phone check, and we test it against all three networks before you pay anything. A phone locked to another carrier has to be unlocked first — here is how to tell.
How do the multi-line and autopay discounts work?
Every line after the first is $5 less every month, up to 5 lines, and autopay takes another $5 off every line. Mac Basic is a flat price, so neither discount applies to it. Add a line any time from My Account; each new line pays the one-time activation.
Does any plan include mobile hotspot?
Not today — mobile hotspot is not included on our phone plans, and every plan's facts say so. If you need to share a connection with a laptop or a tablet, a Mac5G router or a backup internet plan is the route that works; the hotspot guide compares them honestly.
