What "Mac 5G" means
Mac Wireless does not build towers. We buy capacity wholesale on three national networks and sell service under our own names, which is what a mobile virtual network operator is. The upside for you is simple: nationwide 5G coverage without paying for somebody else's tower construction, and a company small enough to answer the phone.

Which name your line runs on depends on the plan and on what covers your address best. You do not have to choose one — we check your ZIP and your phone before you pay.
What 5G actually gets you
Three kinds of 5G exist, and the difference matters more than the logo on the status bar:
- Low-band 5G travels for miles and through walls. This is what makes "nationwide 5G" nationwide, and it is what you will use most.
- Mid-band 5G is the sweet spot — much faster, still covers a neighbourhood. Most city and suburban coverage now has it.
- High-band (millimetre wave) is stadium-and-downtown fast and stops at the first wall. Useful where it exists; never the whole story.
Speed also depends on your phone, how busy the tower is and where you are standing. Test yours any time on the speed test — it measures your actual line, not a marketing number.

Beyond the phone
The same three networks carry the rest of what we sell. Mac5G Internet puts a 5G router in the house or the shop, with the router included in the plan and no annual contract. Mac IoT puts a data SIM in the things that are not phones — cameras, card terminals, fleet trackers, sensors — so each one stands on its own line.
Why we use our own network names. You are buying service from Mac Wireless, and Mac Wireless is who answers when something breaks. The Mac Crown, Mac Apex and Mac Orbit names tell you which footprint your line is on without pretending the towers are ours.

Is this real 5G?
Yes — the same radios, the same towers and the same 5G as the networks we buy from. What differs is the brand on the bill and who you call for help.
Will my phone show 5G?
If the phone supports the 5G bands in your area, yes. Older phones fall back to LTE, which is still perfectly good for calls, messages and most browsing.
Can I pick which network I am on?
The plan decides it, and we match the plan to what covers your address best. Tell us if you have a strong preference and we will tell you honestly whether it is available where you live.
Does coverage change?
Yes, as the underlying networks build. The coverage map is refreshed from what our supplier publishes, and your own signal test is the ground truth at your address.
