Every Backup & RV plan pools its data across your Backup lines and can be suspended between trips — pay for the months you use.
Mac5G Backup & RV · pooled data

Built for the road. Built for the outage.

Unlike a second cable line, a Backup plan lives in a battery-backed 5G router that fails over automatically when the cable drops — and rides along to the camper, the deer camp and the lake house.

Backup & RV plans

Three sizes. Same router. Pooled data.

Buckets of pooled data on the Mac5G network — the size is the only difference.

Prices per month with autopay ($5.00 off) and, when selected, a Mac Wireless phone line on the same account ($5.00 off). Data is pooled across the Backup lines on one account and continues at reduced speed after the monthly allowance — no overage bills. Suspend a line between seasons from My Account; a suspended month is not billed. Router bought or rented separately. Speeds vary by location, signal and network load.

Switching to a backup is easy

Three steps, no technician.
01Sign up in a flash.

Qualify the address, pick the bucket, order online — a specialist confirms by phone and activates the line.

02Plug the Spark in next to the cable modem.

Put the cable line on SIM slot one, the Backup plan on slot two. When the cable drops, the Spark switches in seconds and the cameras, the register and the TV keep going.

03Take it with you.

Unplug the Spark and run it on its battery in the camper or the trailer. Suspend the line from My Account when the season ends.

A better kind of backup

Built on the same 5G network as the Home plans.
Dual-SIM failover

The Spark holds two SIMs and switches to the second network automatically. The failover you notice is the one that didn't happen.

Eight hours on battery

A storm that takes the power also takes the cable. The Spark keeps the cameras and the phones up on its own battery.

Pay for the months you use

Suspend a Backup line between seasons from My Account. Reactivate it the week before the trip.

Router included in the plan? No — and that's the point.

Buy the Spark once ($499.00) or rent it ($14.99/mo). Nothing is hidden in the plan price.

Refer a friend

Refer your friends and earn up to $200.00 a year.

Share your referral code from My Account. When a friend activates a Backup plan, a Home plan or a phone line with it, you both get $10.00 off a bill — up to 20 times a year.

Both lines must be active and in good standing when the credit posts. One credit per referred line.

Availability

Is the Mac5G network available where the router will live?
Backup plans qualify at the home address; on the road the Spark uses whatever the Mac5G network has where you park.
Questions about Backup & RV?
What happens when I use the whole bucket?

The line continues at reduced speed until the next cycle — no overage bill. Move up a size from My Account and it takes effect on your next cycle date.

Can two Backup lines share data?

Yes. Backup lines on one account pool their allowance, so the camper and the lake house can share 60GB instead of each hitting a 30GB wall.

Does the Spark work while driving?

It runs on its battery and takes whatever signal the network has where you are. Coverage on the road varies; the coverage map shows the networks by ZIP.

Can a Backup plan be my only internet?

It can, at a light-use address — email, browsing, a camera. For streaming and work from home, the unlimited Home plans are the right tool.

Is there a contract?

No. Month to month, suspend between seasons, cancel from My Account.

Order

Order online, activated by a person.

Pick the plan and the router. A specialist calls to confirm the address, the first bill and the pickup or shipping, then activates the line — usually the same day. Nothing is billed until you say yes on that call.

01Qualify the address

The network confirms 5G at the exact address. Not confirmed? A specialist checks by hand and looks at the Essential and Backup plans.

02Pick the router

Buy the Kadet ($469.00) or the Spark ($499.00, dual-SIM failover, battery) outright, or rent an eligible router for $14.99 a month.

03Plug it in

Pick it up in McComb or have it shipped. Power on, connect to the Wi-Fi name on the sticker, and you're online. Help is a phone call away.
